We rely on large numbers of volunteers to keep our worship experiences flowing smoothly. Openings exist on the following teams:
Altar Team members prepare the altar area and worship space with communion supplies, paraments and banners, sharpened pencils, functioning candles, and baptism supplies. Saturday teams set up the spaces and Sunday teams oversee cleaning and storage.
Liturgical Assistants are men and women of high school age who wear liturgical vestments and serve before the altar in the sanctuary; they wear their own Sunday clothes at the 10:30, contemporary service. They assist with offering, communion distribution, and processionals.
Acolytes are students in grades 7-8 who wear liturgical vestments in the sanctuary and serve before the altar in the sanctuary; they wear their own Sunday clothes at the 10:30, contemporary service. They light and extinguish candles at the beginning and end of worship services.
Usher Team members are men and women who distribute orders of service, assist worshippers with seating, collect offerings, keep track of attendance, and assist worshippers with orderly distribution of communion.
First Impressions Team members are hosts who greet arriving worshippers in the parking areas and at all entrances to each venue with a warm smile and words of welcome. They also answer questions for guests who are new to our campus.
Sanctuary Choir members meet weekly for rehearsals on Thursday evenings and provide choral worship music in the 8 a.m. worship service and festival services for Christmas, Lent, and Easter.
Praise Band members meet on Sunday mornings for rehearsals and lead the 10:30 contemporary worship service in the gymnasium. They also provide music for Lessons and Carols in December and occasional Easter Sunrise services on Mt. Helix.
Sabbath Sound Handbell ringers meet weekly for rehearsals on Tuesday evenings and provide handbell music one Sunday per month at the 8 a.m. worship service and festival services for Christmas, Lent, and Easter.
Lector Team members read the appointed Bible readings in worship each week; one Sunday per month is set aside for parents with reading-age children to read as a family.
